Award-Winning Film Making

Logo & Movie Poster

The logo was simple. A straight forward typeface with the word “Harvest” spattered with blood.
The movie poster was produced using a combination of imagery provided by the client and that sourced or produced by myself. It was to feature a theme of organs with price tags, and a nod to the Falun Gong’s peaceful meditation set against an industrial-type background to indicate the level at which these atrocities are allegedly taking place.

Digital

I came up with the idea of an interactive companion piece that relayed twelve key pieces of information featured in the film. We decided to have this information revealed by having the users roll over parts of three different images meant to represent three different areas of a hospital: the waiting room, the operating room, and the morgue.

There were visual hints to lead users to the interactive parts of the images, and when clicked, the resulting layovers conveyed information as either static imagery, interactive quizzes, or video clips from the film.

For this piece I was awarded the UI/UX Design Expert of the Year for Canada award by Lux Life Magazine.
